YDP Ghana launches ‘Quick Learn Quick Earn’ initiative to equip 100 youth with income-ready skills
Youth Development Project (YDP) Ghana has launched its Quick Learn Quick Earn initiative to provide skills training and mentorship for the youth.
The initiative which was launched on August 25, 2025, aimed at empowering local youth and fostering community-level economic growth.
The program was free and hands-on. It was specifically designed to give high demand easy to learn skills and low capital investment that will immediately be used to earn income even with little to no start-up capital.
The training areas for the first cohort of the program are: Social Media Management, Video Production, T-Shirt Printing, Hibiscus drink (Sobolo)/Pie Making, and home essentials (Soap Making).The program has enrolled 100 young men and women in their respective options to undergo the training.
This diverse skill is designed to create immediate pathways to self-employment and small business creation. In an interview during the launch, the Managing Director of YDP Ghana, Mr. Gideon Degbe shared the organization’s vision.
“We believe the most powerful tool for community development is an empowered youth,” he stated.
