Welcome to https://ydpghana.org/ (the "Website"), operated by Youth Development Project Ghana ("YDP Ghana," "we," "us," or "our"), a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering youth aged 13-35 in marginalized communities through mentorship, leadership training, vocational and digital skills development, financial literacy, education support, health initiatives, and civic engagement programs to foster sustainable community transformation.

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Website, including any content, functionality, applications, forms, donations, or services offered on or through the Website. By accessing, browsing, or using the Website, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Website.

  1. Eligibility: You must be at least 18 years old to use certain features (e.g., making donations or submitting applications independently). If you are under 18 (but at least 13), you may use the Website only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian. For children under 13, participation in specific activities (e.g., health screenings or education programs) requires parental/guardian consent and may be limited to partner collaborations. Our programs primarily target youth aged 13–35, but all users represent that they meet these requirements and any program-specific criteria.
  2. Use of the Website
  • The Website is provided for informational purposes, to learn about our mission and programs (e.g., Step Up Ghana, Quick Learn Quick Earn, scholarships, mentorship), apply for support or scholarships, express interest in volunteering or partnerships, and make voluntary charitable donations.
  • You agree to use the Website only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
  • Prohibited uses include: interfering with the Website; transmitting viruses or harmful code; impersonating others; harvesting personal data without consent; or using the Website for commercial purposes without our written permission.
  1. User Submissions and Applications
  • When you submit information via forms (e.g., contact, application for scholarships/skills training/mentorship, volunteer interest, or partnership inquiries), you grant YDP Ghana a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, reproduce, modify, and display such submissions for administering programs, communicating with you, promoting our mission, and fulfilling our non-profit objectives.
  • You represent that all information you submit is accurate, truthful, and that you have the right to provide it.
  • Submissions may be reviewed and approved or rejected at our sole discretion, with no obligation to provide reasons.
  1. Donations
  • Donations made through the Website are voluntary, irrevocable charitable contributions to support our programs (e.g., scholarships, skills workshops, health screenings, youth-led projects, financial literacy sessions).
  • Donations are processed via a secure third-party payment gateway (Paystack). We do not store sensitive payment details (e.g., card numbers) on our servers.
  • All donations are non-refundable and non-transferable, except in cases of genuine processing errors or as required by applicable law. We do not provide goods or services in exchange for donations; they are solely for advancing our charitable objectives, with no private benefit to any individual.
  • We may issue receipts or acknowledgments for tax or record purposes where applicable.
  • We reserve the right to refuse or return any donation.
  1. Intellectual Property
  • All content on the Website (text, graphics, logos, images, videos, reports, etc.) is owned by YDP Ghana or our licensors and protected by Ghanaian and international copyright, trademark, and other laws.
  • You may view and print content for personal, non-commercial use only. Any other use (reproduction, distribution, modification, public display) requires our prior written consent.

  • Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you donated in the preceding 12 months (if any). Indemnity applies only to actions taken in good faith within the scope of duties.

  2. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Accra, Ghana.
