1. Introduction
YDP Ghana is committed to recruiting and retaining talented, motivated, and mission-aligned professionals to lead and support our work empowering youth and communities across Ghana. Our recruitment practices are designed to be fair, transparent, inclusive, and aligned with international best practices, reflecting our core values of integrity, professionalism, inclusivity, and impact.
This policy applies to all vacancies, including full-time, part-time, contractual, project-based roles, and internships.

4. Recruitment Process
4.1 Job Advertisement
All vacancies will be advertised through appropriate channels (e.g., YDP Ghana website, professional networks, social platforms) with clear role descriptions, responsibilities, qualifications, required competencies, and application instructions.
4.2 Application & Screening
Applications will be screened against predefined criteria. Screening is based on relevance to the role, experience, education, and demonstrated ability to contribute to YDP Ghana’s mission.
4.3 Selection & Interview
Shortlisted candidates may be invited for interviews or assessments. The selection process may include:
- Structured interviews
- Competency evaluations
- Reference checks
Interviews and assessments will be consistent, relevant to role requirements, and designed to evaluate both technical competencies and alignment with organizational values.
4.4 Decision & Offer
Final selection decisions will be made impartially, documented, and communicated promptly to candidates. Job offers will clearly outline role expectations, terms of employment, and organizational policies.
5. Transparency & Communication
Candidates will receive timely updates on their application status. Constructive feedback will be provided to shortlisted candidates where appropriate, especially after interviews or assessments.
6. Data Protection & Privacy
All personal information submitted by candidates will be handled confidentially and in accordance with data protection principles. Information will only be used for recruitment purposes and safeguarded against unauthorized access.
