Skills Development Workshops and Support

YDP GHANA

Ghana’s youth population makes up 38% of the country and represents both a significant opportunity and a pressing challenge. These youths hold an undeniable potential to drive economic growth and national development, but many young people face barriers to securing meaningful employment due to a lack of essential skills. High youth unemployment and underemployment stem from skills gap, which continues to hinder personal progress and national development.  The skills Development Programs including vocational and technical training, digital and technology skills, soft skills and professional development and entrepreneurship are designed to promote youth independence both economically and psychologically in order to protect the youth force against monetary and psychological manipulation from influential figures that negatively affect the future of the youth and their communities.

Our skills development approach contributes to SDG goal 4 and SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all including vocational education and training.

NB: We do not offer training for beneficiaries. We work with partners to provide training while we support with stipends and provide learning materials for the trainees where necessary.
